Wooden Camera Director's Monitor Cage v3 with Carbon Fiber Handgrips
The Director's Monitor Cage v3 from Wooden Camera is engineered to be universally compatible with any monitor up to 9 inches (measured diagonally) and attaches via top, bottom, or rear 1/4-inch-20 mounting locations. This cage’s upgrade design provides 33% weight reduction compared to the previous model and adds unique features like a dual direction swing away bracket, quick-release neck strap, dual Teradek mounting areas and carbon fiber handles. This allows for side-by-side mounting of two monitors onto the camera.
Arrives Pre-Assembled
This Monitor Cage arrives mostly pre-assembled, with simple, rod-based height adjustment. Carbon fiber hand grips can be quickly positioned via the built-in 15mm clamps. The battery mounting plate features V-Mount and Gold Mount attachment points as well as dual direction swing away functionality for easy access to the rear of the monitor and installed wireless devices. The battery bracket can also be quickly removed when both swing clamps are loosened. The cage includes a built-in baby pin clamp with locking thumbwheel for stand mounting and holes on the main brackets for attaching directly to the back of Convergent Design Odyssey and Apollo.
Included Sun Shade
The included sun shade is adaptable to most monitors and snaps directly to the cage frame. The bottom of the shade is made of hook-and-loop fastener, which can be adjusted to the proper width of the monitor and an included loop piece can be used to hook onto the bottom of the cage for a more permanent mounting of the shade.
Tool-Less Design of the Handles
The tool-less design of the handles allow them to be folded in for easy packing and the sun shade can be repurposed to act as a protective cover. Also included is a padded neck strap with four mounting points and quick-release clips, Teradek mounting areas that allow up to two wireless receivers to be mounted side by side, and a cable tie for cable management.
